BIG email full of info for the next week
Hello Marlins! We are in the thick of the swim season and appreciate your attention reading this larger than normal email. Take a minute (or five minutes) to take in what's happening the next week as we are about to host our first meet.
Declare for next meet
It’s time to declare for our next meet, a HOME MEET against Stonebridge. Please do these three things for things to run efficiently
- Declare whether your swimmer will attend or not
- Sign up for a concession item
- Sign up for a job PLEASE
This is our first home meet and with it comes many responsibilities. There are many more jobs to fill when we host. If you are newer or feel like you need to attend to family members, there are jobs that can fit your needs to be available or even to leave earlier with little ones. Take a peek at the descriptions or email back with questions and we can help find something that is a good fit.
Our concessions is one of the best in the league and that is thanks to your contributions (and the amazing Kendall Myers). In Job Signup, you can sign up to bring something. Come HUNGRY and tell your friends and family to come hungry. Kona Ice is expected to come this week. Cash and Venmo accepted
T-shirts
Most shirts have been passed out but we will bring the remainder to picture day. We can also try to arrange a pickup if you respond to this email.
Picture Day
June 24 before our meet we will gather for a team picture and also have individual pictures. It will be $15/picture or $25 for a bundle of individual+team
Fill out this google form to preorder if you are interested in pictures, particularly individual so Jenn can time appropriately.
Please come by 4pm for individual and 4:15 to start getting ready for team pictures. We are aiming to click the team picture at 4:30. Popsicles and swimmer check-in for the meet to follow immediately afterward.
Movie Day
Wednesday June 25 we are cancelling the morning swim practice because we found a FREE MOVIE showing of How to Train Your Dragon 2 at Six Forks Cinema.

No outside food or drinks but there is a $5 drink/popcorn bundle available for purchase. Sleep in after our meet and meet us at the movies!
There will still be scheduled evening practice Wednesday.
Ribbons
There's an accordian file by the microwave that has the last two meet's ribbons. If your swimmer was in the first heat (scoring), then check to see if you have ribbons.

- July 10- possible exhibition meet with JCC- no evening practice [more info to come, voluntary]
