Welcome Coach Annie and Coach Cody!
We have two familiar faces as our assistant coaches this year. Welcome Coach Annie Goins and Coach Cody Watts.

Hi everyone! My name is Annie Goins, and I am so excited for my first year coaching at Lakepark. I am a graduating senior from Sanderson High School. This will be my 14th season swimming for Lakepark, and I have also swum with New Wave for 8 years. Outside of swimming, I enjoy volunteering, yoga, reading, photography, being outside, and hanging out with family and friends. This fall, I will be attending Washington and Lee University where I am looking to major in Neuroscience and minor in Poverty and Human Capability Studies. I am also excited to continue my athletic career with the swim team at W&L! I can't wait to see everyone at the pool soon. Go Marlins!

Hi Lakepark! My name is Cody Watts. I am 16 years old and a rising junior at Sanderson High School. I am very excited to be coaching my first year at Lakepark. I have been a Marlin since I was 2 years old. I have been swimming year-round with New Wave Swim Team for the past 10 years. Through my years of swimming, I have attended many clinics, camps, and national meets, where I have gained experience that I look forward to sharing with the Lakepark Marlins. When I am not in the pool, I like to hang out with friends and family, play and watch sports, and hang out with my dogs, Daisy and Oakley. I’m looking forward to seeing some fast swimming this summer! Go Marlins!

Registration
Registration for swim team is LIVE! Early bird pricing is $145 through May 16, which will include a t-shirt. Don’t forget to join the pool! Register for swim team here: https://lpk.swimtopia.com/register . You can also forward this email to families who were not on the team last year so they get this information.

You’ll need to choose the size of your swimmer’s shirt, and you can add in any other apparel or caps to your cart as well.
Family Sponsorship: Please consider adding a family sponsorship for $50 to add your family’s name to the t-shirt and support our team in our fundraising goal.

Fundraising
1. We are actively looking for local businesses to be sponsors for our Lakepark Marlins. Do you know establishments looking to be on our t-shirts or on a banner? Share this form or contact Katie Penree ( [email protected].) to arrange the sponsorship.

2. Silent Auction: Our Silent Auction will be coming up in late May. If a business isn’t able to be a sponsor with us, see if they are willing to make a donation to our silent auction.  We'd love each family to reach out to a business they love, or consider making a donation of their own toward our silent auction.  More news to come.  

3. Bunco: Be on the lookout for a Bunco night early in the summer. This is a really fun event for the whole family.
