Swim Meet Tuesday- Away at Bedford at Falls River
This Tuesday is Meet #2 and here is some information that the team has shared about their pool.  

Address:
10630 Bedfordtown Dr, Raleigh, NC 27614 (Approximately 2 miles north of I-540 off Falls of Neuse Road in North Raleigh)

Visiting Team Warm-Ups: 5:30 PM, Arrive at 5:00 to check in
Meet Start Time: 6:00 PM
Parking The main pool parking lot is reserved for your team. Additional street parking is available on Bedfordtown Drive and St. Paul's Square (in front of the townhomes and shops) if the parking lot becomes full.

Team Seating
Lakepark will have reserved seating on the east side of the pool deck nearest the pool entrance.
We have some umbrellas available, but shade can be limited at the beginning of the meet and temperatures can get quite warm. There is ample space for tents, and we encourage families to bring them. Lounge chairs are available for swimmers and spectators. Additional seating is available on the clubhouse deck overlooking the starting end of the pool and can be accessed by stairs.

Food & Concessions
Food Truck: Empanadas RD and Frostbites (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

Snack Bar: The snack bar accepts credit cards, debit cards, and Apple Pay only. Will offer:

• Candy, Chips
• Ice cream
• Microwaveable food options
• Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches and nuggets
• Water, juice, and soft drinks

Per TSA rules, no alcohol is permitted on the pool deck during swim meets.

Swim Practice Changes start Monday
Starting Monday June 15 we will have both AM and PM practice options.

Morning Practice : (Monday – Friday, see Wednesday’s exception below):
9:00 – 10:00 (11 & up)
10:00 - 11:00 (7-10)
10:30 – 11:00 (6 & under)

Afternoon Practice : (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday):
5:30 - 6:00 (6 & under)
6:00 – 7:00 (7 & up)

***Please note! After the swim meets, Wednesday morning practices will be combined for all ages. Practice will be 10:00 – 11:00 am for 7 & up. The 6 & under Mini Marlins will still attend from 10:30 -11:00am

Special Events This Summer

       Movie Day
Triangle Cinemas will be hosting FREE movies this summer and we will be having a team event for the June 17th movie Shrek 2. We're keeping track of who's interested with a RSVP here. This is not a drop-off event. Please have a responsible caregiver for your swimmer.

      Drag and Donuts Day 
June 24: A Lakepark Tradition DRAG DAY! Dress up and swim! Come to practice in your Halloween costume, your favorite person, character, animal or whatever you choose. We will have a parade around the pool to see all the costumes and then jump in for practice with "DRAG" from your costume. Donuts will be provided after practice. Stay tuned for more details and a food sign up.
      WAVE Clinic
9 am June 27 (yes, a Saturday morning)  we'll invite some coaches from the year-round New Wave Swim Team to perform a swim clinic and work on some skills selected by the coaches.  We'll have some more details beforehand but we are inviting swimmers who can swim a whole length of the pool independently.  

      Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe
We will meet at 8:30 - 8:45am on July 1 in the Lakepark parking lot to carpool to Wet n' Wild water park. Spend the day with your team mates at Wet n' Wild Emerald Pointe. Check out their website: Wet N Wild Emerald Pointe
