Team and Individual Pictures
We welcome Jenn Burnell again this year to take pictures of our team. You may have seen her with her camera at the meet last week.
Here is the link for the order form for photos -the pricing for the team photo ($15) and the individual "standard ladder pose" single prints are the same as last year.

Two things different from last year:
- I am scheduling times to take the individual photos versus doing them just before the 6/23 (Team picture day) meet. They are typically 30 minute windows before or after practices (or the Wave workshop on that Saturday) where I will grab whomever signed up in that time slot.
- I also am offering 20 minute mini-sessions where we will get multiple images both in and out of water. $75 will get you 5 digital images. These are scheduled on a separate calendar page which is on the form but can be found at https://calendar.app.google/YGAGXPjzWbnXTp6v8
Families can always reach out to me at [email protected] if there are questions or if they need to see about scheduling for a different time.
Looking for a few more Volunteers
We don’t need quite as many volunteers for jobs at away meets, but have a few essential needs. Please consider volunteering for the following roles, or reach out to find out more.
-Meet Admin
-4 timers
-floater/sub (possibly for someone who may need to leave timing early)
-Order of Finish judge
Private Swim Lessons
Our coaches have made their contact info available for families to hire them for private lessons outside of regular practice time. You can find their information here on our website. Reach out directly to them to schedule. Lessons must be done during operating pool hours with a lifeguard present, and families pay coaches directly according to their rates. https://lpk.swimtopia.com/swim-lessons
Question of the Week:
What do the Strokes and Turns officials do?
Strokes and Turns officials have been trained on the rules of the strokes and events so that we’re on a level playing field. Each team official watches half of the pool to the best of their ability and calls infractions as they see them. They always give the benefit of the doubt to the swimmer.
Can I dispute a call if I have it on video?
TSA rule: Video photography is not permitted to confirm the order of finish for events.
No parent, official, participant, coach, etc. shall use video photography to confirm or dispute a DQ. All DQs are the responsibility of Stroke & Turn Judges and the Starter.
