Check out what's going on with the Lakepark Marlins this October! Exciting news at the end....

Dine with the Marlins- Relish
Next Tuesday

Dinner is ready for you at one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants Relish ( 5625 Creedmoor Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612) on Tuesday October 20. Your purchase ALL DAY at Relish supports our swim team. Just mention Lakepark when you dine in or phone in your order. Mark your calendars and tell your friends and neighbors! See attached flyer for details.

Halloween Poker Run Fundraiser
Get ready for a Halloween adventure that's part trick-or-treat, part poker game, and all fun!

Instead of collecting candy, you'll collect playing cards at spooky stops throughout the neighborhood. By the end of your route, you'll have a poker hand. The player with the best hand wins 50% of the total pot!

The more participants who play, the bigger the prize. For example, if 10 people enter, the winner takes home $50!

No poker experience required. We'll help determine the winning hands. Everyone Is Welcome! You do not have to live in LakePark to participate.

This event is open to all ages. Whether you're walking with young trick-or-treaters, riding a bike, taking a golf cart, driving, or gathering with friends, everyone can join the fun!

How It Works

1. Check in at the LakePark Pool and pay the $10 entry fee.
2. Receive your first playing card.
3. Visit participating stops throughout the neighborhood and collect additional cards.
4. Collect at least five cards to complete your poker hand.
5. Optional bonus stops allow you to discard and replace up to two cards in an attempt to improve your hand.
6. Turn in your final hand and see if you're the Halloween Poker Run Champion!

Tournament Rules

• Entry Fee: $10 per player
• Game Format: 5-Card Draw
• Players may replace a maximum of two cards
• Cards may not be traded, shared, or exchanged with other players
• Only registered, paid participants are eligible to play!

If you are interested in playing, please sign up so we have an idea of how many people are coming! You will pay the $10 Cash or Venmo at check-in/registration.

Exciting News
2027 Head Coach
We are so excited to share that head coach Gavin Formon will return to coach Lakepark for the 2027 season!  Welcome back, Coach Gavin!
We will begin accepting assistant coach applications in early 2027, so you'll hear communication about that as we prepare for the next season.

While you may not hear as much from us throughout the cooler months,  we'd very much love to connect.  You can catch the swim team (@swim4lpk) and pool (@lpkrecassoc) on Instagram.  And thank you for participating in fundraisers that help our team with essential expenses such lane rental at the pool, coach salaries, insurance policies, and equipment like lane lines.
